Our first route takes you from our base at Minnis Bay in Birchington, Kent. Touring through our golden sands coastline along the cycle pathed promenades of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate, you will also discover our lesser known and best known Bays, including Joss Bay, Botany Bay, Viking Bay and Walpole Bay. This route will take you along minor roads with little road works on and established cycle paths which finish at the Viking Ship at Pegwell Bay. Not very strenuous at all.
As for refreshments along this route, there are plenty of well known restaurants like the newly refurbished The Minnis Bar & Restaurant here at Minnis bay. The Captain Digby with The Smugglers Caves underneath, where you can still see into the cliffs. There's The Fayreness Hotel & Bar located on the beautiful Kingsgate cliff tops and if you love your seafood there's also the Tartar Frigate in Broadstairs Harbour. There's also plenty of cafés and tea rooms with sea views all the way along the route, that's if you have not brought your own packed lunches with you to eat at some of the very beautiful, and tranquil picnic spots. In all, this route is about 20 miles all round. Needs an all day booking for this one. Our second route will take you, again from our base at Minnis Bay, along a beautiful coastal cycle path, with no hills or inclines to the twin towers of St. Mary's Church, Reculver. Along the route you'll encounter countryside to your left and crashing waves to your right. This route is a lovely ride, with a lovely bar/restaurant called The King Ethelbert Inn near the Towers, also there is a Cafe just down a little lane, and again some very nice picnic areas. There is ample parking outside our base to leave your transport and our bicycles are top quality Claud Butler Hybrid and Mountain bikes. We have a range of Shogun Bikes for the younger cyclists and mountain bikes to use with Trail Buggies, Tag-a-Longs and bike seats.
